Lauren Heerschap is the owner of Brunton, the manufacturer of iconic compasses used by field geologists worldwide. In this talk she will provide a brief history of Brunton and tell the story of how she became the owner of the company. This will be followed by how the devices are used in the field and the role that Brunton compasses (and the company) have played in understanding Wyoming’s geology and resources.
