Please note that our August Presenter is unable to travel due to government funding cuts, so he will present via Zoom.
We will still gather in the Library for our usual pre-talk appetizers and raffle.
The Prize: Spectacular print on metal of the Helix nebula NGC 7293. It is sometimes referred to as the Eye of Sauron or the Eye of God.

The fossil record preserved within the national parks and monuments spans over 2 billion years of Earth’s history and is documented in 288 different parks. Collectively fossils from the national parks yield important scientific and educational information about America’s rich paleontological heritage. The National Park Service (NPS) Paleontology Program provides support across the agency with the management, protection, scientific study, and interpretation of park fossils. This presentation will highlight some of the significant paleontological resources found within the national parks and share news about some of the most recent fossil discoveries.
