Lectures

The Geologists of Jackson Hole organizes and hosts lectures that are free and open to the public. Our programs range in subject matter from the center of the earth to the ends of the universe. Most are Earth Science related. These lectures are given by experts in their field. Many are university professors who are describing their most recent research. With permission of the speaker, lectures are recorded for later viewing (see the “Videos” tab of this website).

Date: usually the first Tuesday of each month (unless the first Tuesday is a holiday or the auditorium is needed for voting – please check the Calendar)
Time: We start with a social half-hour from 5:30-6:00 pm, followed by the lecture from 6:00 to about 7:30.
Where: Teton County Library Auditorium in Jackson, Wyoming AND simulcast via Zoom (see the “Zoom” tab for login information).
