Guidelines for the Geologists of Jackson Hole Website

The primary purpose of the website is to support the organization’s Mission Statement, which is to provide information and education about earth science to our members, the community, then beyond.

Our primary audience is our membership, secondarily it is the local community, thirdly local press, and finally the broader community of the global internet.

In alignment with the Geologists of Jackson Hole Mission, the website is non-commercial and non-political in nature.

Material and links provided on this site are for informational purposes only in support of the organization’s mission.  The Geologists of Jackson Hole and the website committee make no representations as to accuracy, completeness, or validity of any information on this site. All information is provided on an as-is basis.

The website content consists of materials provided by members, invited speakers, and others who have suggested appropriate content that helps fulfill our mission statement. Anyone is welcome to propose changes to, or addition of, materials that further the organization’s mission.

Any proposed changes consistent with these guidelines must be submitted to the website committee for consideration. Ultimate decision making, as or if required, belongs to the President of GJH.
