Bill was born in 1943 and lived in southern New Jersey until attending Bucknell University where he graduated in 1965 with degrees in chemistry and biology. He attended Temple University Medical School where he met his wife Nanci and graduated in 1969. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh in 1974 and then served two years in the army at Kirk Army Hospital in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
He then established a busy orthopaedic practice in Wilmington, Delaware until retirement in 2011. While in practice he was a founding member and president of the Delaware Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons. and Delaware’s representative to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Councilors. He taught physical therapy at the University of Delaware and was member on a number of boards dealing with medicine.
After retirement Bill and Nanci made the great decision to live full time in Jackson where they have enjoyed skiing, biking, hiking, and exploring this wonderful place. Bill has been a member and supporter of GJH for many years and an avid participant in lectures and field trips.
